First, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Second, you must provide a picture ID with a current address.
The cost of adoption is $85 to be paid at the Russell County Treasurer's Office. Once the adopter presents proof of spay/neuter to the Treasurer's Office, $50 will be refunded. However, the spay/neuter MUST be done within 30 days of adoption in order to receive the refund.
Also, rabies and licensing must be completed within 7 days of adoption.

You may purchase a dog license at the Treasurer's Office or by mail to the Treasurer's Office. You must provide your current rabies vaccination in order to receive the license.
